Our Legacy

In 1911, RW "Pop" Snell founded Snell's Artificial Limbs, Braces and Trusses in Memphis, TN. His sons expanded the business into Arkansas in 1935 and Louisiana in 1939. Today, the practices in each state are individually owned by descendants of "Pop" Snell, with Snell's Orthotics and Prosthetics in Louisiana being locally owned and managed by Clint Snell, CPO.

1911: “Pop” Snell, along with his three sons: Jim, Ralph and William buys the artificial limbs and braces portion of the surgical and medical supply company that he worked for in Memphis, re-naming it Snell’s Artificial Limbs, Braces & Trusses.
